About Longworth
Longworth House is an iconic architectural landmark entrenched with a distinguished history.
Recently re-opened after undergoing the final stage of renovations, Longworth House has been beautifully and tastefully restored with attention to detail and is fit for any occasion demanding style and ambience.
Interior design & features
The inside of the building features original marble fireplaces, handsome timber floors and curved glass windows. The ballrooms are individually styled with the addition of impressive chandeliers to accentuate the grand proportions.
The ambient lighting of the wine bar is created by stunning murano glass chandeliers matched with chaise lounges and lush velvet curtains, to ensure an elegant and intimate space to relax and indulge from an extensive tapas and wine menu until late.
The premises were restored to offer both superior event facilities and the more informal option of lounge dining.
The ground floor ballroom has baroque-style opulence with lush red velvet curtains, chandeliers and wall lighting creating a romantic ambience.
The upstairs ballroom is in the french provincial style with eight magnificent crystal chandeliers, flowing organza curtains and century old timber beams.
A private boardroom with an adjacent lounge is also available for smaller gatherings. The perfect space for corporate conferencing or private dining.
Longworth House is close to Newcastle Harbour, right in the centre of the central business district (CBD), only an hour from Hunter Valley wine country.
